This Fall The Giles County Soil Conservation District held a poster contest that was offered to all public, private, and homeschooled students in Giles County in grades Pre K through 8th grade.

This year's theme was "Healthy Soils are Full of Life!"

The Giles County Soil Conservation District awarded cash prices to First place and Second place winners in each category, with the teacher of each winning student receiving matching cash prizes.

A total of 42 posters were entered into the local contest.

1^st and 2^nd place winners were awarded to students at Elkton School, Richland Elementary School and to 2 Home School students.

The Giles County SCD would like to "Thank All" the students and teachers who participated.
